Mark Chernev is the founder of The Chernev Firm. He possesses over 12 years of experience as an attorney, handling simple matters through high profile, complex litigation cases. Prior to creating the bankruptcy firm, Mark served as Deputy Attorney General for the Delaware Department of Justice where he handled thousands of matters in the civil and criminal justice system. He is a well-seasoned advocate with extensive litigation experience. Mark believes that to represent a client, a bankruptcy attorney must have a personalized appreciation of their legal interests as well as their financial objectives. He feels strongly about being approachable and having a comfortable relationship with each and every client. After having relocated to the San Francisco Bay Area, Mark's idea was to create an accessible bankruptcy practice emphasizing personalized attention for consumers and small businesses. While in San Francisco he has also served as an adjunct law professor. Mark graduated cum laude from Widener University School of Law in Delaware in 1999 and is currently Mark is also a proud member of the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys.
